Here we go, another Necroanal album full of noise-y, grind-y power noise and extremely long and depraved song titles!
Well, like any good Necroanal album, Shitcicle is full of what he does best, lots of noise and machine gun beats. The album artwork is a bunch of dead bodies with exposed viscera and people puking all over themselves. I find that it sets the mood pretty well. The album starts off kind of slow with some slow-ish tracks which feel uninspired and simple/undeveloped…but once you get past the second track the fun starts. Obviously there is a pretty specific kind of person which is going to enjoy a Necroanal album. The basic rule apply to this album as most Necroanal album: the album is a ton of spastic insane noise industrial and you’ll either love it, hate it, or be really confused. Anyway back to the album itself…Track 3 and beyond are what I want to hear when I hear Necroanal…fucking insane noise chaos. Honestly is hard to tell if most of these tracks are serious or a joke, or perhaps a touch of both…something akin to tongue-in-cheek, like the titles of the tracks. The sound and production of this album is about the same as the other albums which I’ve heard from Necroanal, which is pretty good for noise music, especially considering the amount of distortion some of these sounds must be run through. Somehow, even though he puts out a shit-ton of songs, they manage to sound different from one another. Well I mean they kind of sound the same being that they are all the same style, but they aren’t complete carbon copies of one another.
The bottom line is that this is a pretty standard collection of songs from Necroanal, there are no surprises or unforeseen occurrences, but if you want completely whacked out schizophrenic noise chaos with a touch of power noise then you need to cop a feel on this album right now. Actually, I lied. The last track is 32 minutes long (and it’s really good!), so that is kind of a surprise. However, if noise is not you thing, then I suggest you to pass up this one.
